Front seat tilt motor (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Remove the front seat. For more information, refer to Front Seat (78.10.44/99)

2. Remove the front seat cushion side trim.

• Remove 2 Torx head screws.
• Release the 3 clamps.

3. Release the front seat control switch.

• Remove 2 screws.
• Remove the two clamps.

4. Remove the front seat cushion assembly. For more information, refer to Front Seat Cushion (78.10.12/99)

5. Remove the front seat recline motor assembly.

• Remove 4 Torx head bolts.
• Disconnect 7 electrical connectors.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the seat module bracket. Remove the 2 Torx head bolts.

Installation

1. Install the seat module bracket. Tighten the Torx head bolts. (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Install the front seat recline motor assembly.

• Tighten the 4 Torx head bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
• Connect the electrical connectors.

3. Install the front seat cushion assembly. For more information, refer to Front Seat Cushion (78.10.12/99)

4. Install the front seat cushion side trim.

• Secure with clamps.
• Tighten the screws.

5. Set the front seat adjustment system switch.

• Secure the clamps.
• Tighten the screws.

6. Install the front seat. For more information, refer to Front Seat (78.10.44/99)
