Removal


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the cooling fan shroud. For more information, refer to Cooling Fan Shroud (26.25.11)

3. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector.

NOTE: Part has right hand threads.


Using special tools, remove the cooling fan. Remove the cooling fan assembly.

5.
NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.




Remove the viscous coupling from the cooling fan. Remove the 4 bolts.

Remove the viscous coupling from the cooling fan. Remove the 4 bolts.


Installation


1. Install the parts in place in reverse order.
  • Install the cooling fan onto the viscous coupling and tighten the bolts. (tightening torque 10 Nm).
  • Tighten the cooling fan assembly. (tightening torque 65 Nm).
