In this operation, the lower outer side panel is replaced together with the threshold reinforcement.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the generator.
3. Disconnect all electronic units.
4. Remove the wheel(s).
5. Remove the front fender.

6. Remove the front door.

7. Remove the rear door.

8. Remove the lower decorative trim of the middle pillar "B/C" of the body.

9. Remove the front seat.

10. Remove the rear seat.

11. Remove the door sill trims from the front and rear doors.
12. Remove the side door seals.
13. Release the floor mat from the inner sill panel and move it to the side.
14. Release the cable harness from the inner sill panel and move it to the side.
Repair works
1. Remove damaged panels, prepare joint edges and install new panels in accordance with the Body Panel Repair Rules. Punch or drill holes in the panel to be installed for the plug weld, as shown in the figure.
Installation
1. Secure the cable harness to the inner sill panel.
2. Place the floor mat on the inner threshold.
3. Install the side door seals.
4. Install the side door sill trims.
5. Replace the rear seat.

6. Replace the front seat.

7. Install the lower decorative trim of the middle pillar "B/C" of the body.

8. Install the rear door.

9. Install the front door.

10. Install the front fender in place.

11. Reinstall the wheel(s) and tighten the nuts to 115 Nm.
12. Connect all electronic units.
13. Connect the generator.
14. Connect the negative battery terminal.
