Checking oil pressure (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. Unscrew the oil pressure sensor contact.

ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Contact oil pressure sensor.

2. Install the sealing washer from the oil pressure contact sensor onto the LRT-12-052/10 adapter for connecting the pressure gauge.

3. Screw the LRT-12-052/10 adapter into the oil filter head and tighten it.

4. Attach the LRT-12-052C pressure gauge and tighten the mounting nut.

5. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

6. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

7. Record the oil pressure value when the engine is running without load at 3000 rpm.

8. Stop the engine, disconnect the pressure gauge from the adapter.

9. Unscrew the adapter.

10. Wipe away any oil stains.

11. Install the oil pressure sensor.
