Dismantling


1. Remove the lower engine guard.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower engine protection shield.


2. Remove the right front wheel.

3. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the right mudguard panel and remove the panel.

4. Use a 3/8-inch ratchet to release the attachment belt tensioner and remove the belt from the crankshaft pulley.

5. Assemble the LRT-12-161 and LRT-12-199 fixtures together using a bolt.



6. Install the LRT-12-161 with LRT-12-199 on the crankshaft pulley, loosen and remove the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt.

7. Remove the tools from the crankshaft pulley and remove the pulley.

Installation


1. Clean the pulley and the mating surface of the crankshaft nose.

2. Install the crankshaft pulley onto the crankshaft pinion, making sure that the notch on the pulley is aligned with the protrusion on the pinion.

3. Screw in the pulley mounting bolt with the washer, install the LRT-12-161 with LRT-12-199 tool on the crankshaft pulley. Tighten the pulley mounting bolt to 160 Nm.

4. Remove the tools from the crankshaft pulley.

5. After making sure that the accessory drive belt is correctly positioned on the drive pulleys, move the tensioner and place the belt on the crankshaft pulley.

6. Install the mudguard panel and secure it with bolts.

7. Reinstall the right wheel and tighten the nuts to a torque of 115 Nm.

8. Reinstall the lower engine guard.
