1. Remove the intake receiver.

5. Loosen the bolt securing the ground wire to the valve cover of the right cylinder head and disconnect the wire.

6. In the sequence shown in the figure, loosen and unscrew the 14 valve cover mounting bolts.

7. Remove the valve cover and discard its gasket.

Installation


1. Wipe the mating surfaces of the valve cover and integral camshaft cover.


2. Place the new gasket on the camshaft cover so that the arrow on the gasket faces the intake manifold.

3. Install the valve cover, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 9 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure.

4. Insert the ignition coils, screw in the mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 9 Nm.

5. Install the ground wire on the valve cover, screw in the bolt and tighten it to 9 Nm.

6. Connect the ventilation hose to the valve cover.

7. Install the intake receiver.

8. Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary.
