Right engine mount bracket assembly (Freelander 1)

Dismantling


1. Remove the lower engine guard.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower engine protection shield.


2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

3. Remove the bolt securing the upper right engine crossmember to the upper bracket.

4. Loosen the bolt securing the upper right engine crossmember to the body and move the crossmember away from the upper bracket.

5. Support the engine by placing a jack with a wooden block as a spacer under the pan.

6. Unscrew the nut and 4 bolts securing the upper engine bracket to the right hydraulic support and to the front mount on the engine.



7. Remove the power steering pump pipe bracket from the hydraulic support and move the pipe to the side.

8. Remove the top bracket.

Installation


1. Install the upper bracket on the engine, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 100 Nm.

2. Lower the jack under the engine and remove the jack.

3. Install the power steering pump hose bracket to the hydraulic support.

4. Screw the nut securing the upper engine bracket to the hydraulic support and tighten it. Tightening torque 85 Nm.

5. Install the upper right cross member on the bracket, screw in the bolt and tighten it to a torque of 100 Nm.

6. Tighten the upper cross member mounting bolt to the body to a torque of 100 Nm.

7. Reinstall the lower engine guard.

8. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.
