Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Drain the coolant from the engine.

COOLING SYSTEM: MOD. K, KV6 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Draining coolant, flushing and filling the system.


3. Remove the fuel rail.

FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM, GASOLINE ENGINE ADJUSTMENTS, Fuel rail, KV6 engine: except North American market countries.

4. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose from the right intake manifold.

5. Press the shoulders and remove the ventilation hose from the right intake manifold.

6. Sequentially loosen and unscrew the 7 bolts securing the right intake manifold to the cylinder head.

7. Remove the intake manifold with the gasket.

8. Loosen the bolt securing the bracket of the cooling system steam outlet hose to the intake manifold and remove the bracket.

Installation


1. Clean the intake manifold and mating surfaces on the cylinder head.

2. Install the bracket of the cooling system steam outlet hose to the intake manifold, screw in the bolt and tighten it to a torque of 9 Nm.



3. Install a new gasket on the cylinder head, install the intake manifold, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 25 Nm.

4. Connect the cooling system hose to the manifold and secure it with a clamp.

5. Attach the ventilation hose to the manifold and secure it in the shoulders.

6. Install the fuel rail.

7. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

COOLING SYSTEM: MOD. K, KV6 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Draining coolant, flushing and filling the system.


8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
