Fuel Evaporative Canister Purge Solenoid Valve: KV6 Engine (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Disconnect the connector from the purge solenoid valve.

3. Disconnect the hose from the purge solenoid valve.

4. Loosen the bolt securing the purge valve to the intake receiver.

5. Remove the purge valve and discard the seal.

Installation

1. Wipe the purge valve and the mating surface on the intake manifold.

2. Install a new seal on the purge valve.

3. Install the purge valve on the intake manifold and secure it with a bolt.

4. Connect the electrical connector and hose to the canister purge solenoid valve.

5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
