Thermostatic valve of the recirculation system (Freelander 1)

Thermostatic valve for recirculation system: Td4 engine, automatic transmission (hot climate countries), since May 2003.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Release the thermostatic valve hoses from the fasteners.

3. Install a container to collect the leaking coolant.

4. Disconnect the 3 clamps securing the cooling system hoses to the recirculation system thermostatic valve.

5. Disconnect the system hoses from the recirculation thermostatic valve and remove the valve.

Installation

1. Install the thermostatic valve of the recirculation system and connect the cooling system hoses.

2. Secure the hoses with clamps.

3. Install the thermostatic valve hoses into the brackets.

4. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.

5. Fill the engine with coolant.
