NOTE: The rear inner side panel is detachable from the inner side panel and is not serviceable separately.


Removal


1. In combination with the rear inner side panel, replaces:
  • Rear bumper trim
  • Rear side panel
  • Back door
  • Rear side panel glass

2. 3. Remove the rear quarter panel. For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Quarter Panel (501-30 Rear Sheet Metal Repairs, Removal and Installation).

4. Mill out the weld spots.

5. Separate the connections and remove the old panel, also disconnect the NVH element.

Installation


1. Remove the rear inner side panel from the serviceable inner side panel. Rout 5 weld spots.

2. Prepare the connecting surfaces of the old and new panels.

3. Drill holes in the new panel for MIG welding.

6. Clean all welded joints.

7. To install the relevant panels and mechanical components, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
