Gear selector knob (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Secure the gear shift lever housing under the snap ring with a rubber band or clamp.

2. Turn the casing together with the retaining ring.

WARNING: The selector lever handle releases suddenly, so turn away when removing.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.

CAUTION: Make sure the selector lever and gearshift mechanism are in the Park (P) position.
