Fuel temperature sensor (Freelander 2)

Avoid the presence of open flames, sparks or flammable materials.

After stopping the engine, wait at least one minute before performing any repairs to the fuel injection system.

Removal

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00, Specifications).

2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Diesel (501-05, Removal and Installation).

Clean the area around the element and remove any foreign material. Prepare to collect any spilled liquid. Plug all openings. Use new plugs.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
