Fuel Temperature Sensor 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Secure the hood in the service position. Release the hood struts.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

3. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.4L (12.30.50)

CAUTION: To avoid contamination of the system, plug all open connections.

Remove the fuel temperature sensor.

• Disconnect the plug connector.
• Place an absorbent cloth to absorb any spilled liquid.

Installation

1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Apply sealant to the sensor threads.
• Tighten the sensor (tightening torque 7 Nm).
