Note: After installing new brake pads, they will be run in for several hundred kilometers until they achieve maximum braking efficiency.


Note: when replacing the pads, you will need the LRT-70-500 clamp.


Removal



1. Remove the front wheels.

2. Clean the caliper installation area.

3. Remove the cotter pins securing the retaining fingers.

4. Remove the retaining pins and anti-noise springs.

5. Remove the brake pads.

6. Wash the protruding parts of the caliper pistons with clean brake fluid.

7. Using the LRT-70-500 clamp, insert the pistons into the caliper. Make sure that the brake master cylinder reservoir is not overfilled with brake fluid.



Installation



8. Install the brake pads.

9. Install the retaining pins, anti-noise springs and retaining pin retaining pins.

10. Press the brake pedal several times to install the pads in place.

11. Check the brake fluid level.
