Rear passenger door drive (Discovery 1)

1. Close the door window glass completely.

2. Disconnect the battery.

3. Remove the door closing handle, trim panel and plastic insulation of the inner door panel.

4. Disconnect the drive wiring connector.

5. Cut off the plastic ties securing the drive wire harness.

6. Remove the four screws securing the drive board to the door.

7. Disconnect the door lock rod from the drive and remove the drive.

8. Place the new drive on the board.

Installation



9. Secure the door lock rod to the drive.

10. Install the drive, hand tighten the board mounting screws.

11. Position the board so that the mounting screws are in the center of the oval slots.

12. Connect the drive connector.

13. Connect the battery.

14. Set the manual lock lever to a position corresponding to approximately half the travel of the manual door lock button.

15. Check the operation of the central door lock, adjust the position of the drive if necessary. Tighten the drive board mounting screws.

16. Reinstall the removed parts.
