Catalytic converter (downpipe) (Discovery 1)

Attention: carry out work only when the exhaust system is cold!


1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Raise the car on a lift.

3. Remove the oxygen sensors.

3. Remove the oxygen sensors.


4. Unscrew the anti-roll bar fasteners.

5. Unscrew the fastenings of the inlet pipe to the exhaust manifolds.

6. Unscrew the fastenings of the inlet pipe to the intermediate pipe.

7. Release the intake pipe from the exhaust manifold flanges (an assistant's help will be required).

8. Release the inlet pipe from the intermediate flange.

9. Lower the stabilizer.

10. Remove the exhaust pipe.

11. Throw away all pads.

12. Installation in reverse order.
