Glove Box Hinge Puller 501-113

Removal


1. Remove the front door opening trim panel. For more information, refer to Front Door Opening Trim Panel (76.13.27)

2. Remove the closing decorative panel.
  • Release the clamp.
  • Remove two screws.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Open the glove box to the service position. Release the glove box locks.

CAUTION: If the pivot pin cannot be released, rotate it 90 degrees to make removal easier.




Using a special tool, remove the glove compartment.
  • Press on the head of the pivot pin and install the special tool.
  • Remove the pivot pin.
  • Repeat the above procedure with the other hinge pin.

Installation


1. Install the glove box. Install the hinge pins.

2. Close the glove box. Secure the glove box latches.

3. Install the closing decorative panel.
  • Connect the electrical connector.
  • Secure the clamp.
  • Tighten the screws.
4. Install the front door jamb trim panel. For more information, refer to Front Door Jamb Trim Panel (76.13.27)
