Speaker on the rear tailgate (Discovery 3)

Removal


1. Remove the tailgate trim panel.

For more information, refer to Rear Tailgate Trim Panel (76.49.23)

2. Remove the tailgate speaker assembly.
  • Remove 10 Torx bolts.
  • Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
Disconnect the two electrical connectors.


3.
NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the component is removed only for access.


Remove the tailgate speaker. Remove 6 bolts.

Remove the tailgate speaker. Remove 6 bolts.


Installation


1. Install the tailgate speaker. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.

2. Install the tailgate speaker.
  • Connect the electrical connectors.
  • Tighten the Torx bolts to 10 Nm.
3. Install the tailgate trim panel.
