Front fog lamps are optional on entry-level vehicles and standard on premium vehicles.
Two fog lamps are integrated into the openings of the front bumper. Each headlight is attached to the bumper with three screws covered with a cladding. Fog lights are equipped with adjusting screws, with which you can correctly adjust the position of the light beams
The fog lamp socket contains a 55W H11 halogen bulb. The cartridge is inserted into the hole in the rear wall of the fog lamp housing and rotated into the locking position.
The front fog lights are controlled by a light switch. If the ignition key is in position II and the light switch is set to the parking lights on or the headlights on, pull the switch to the first position to turn on the fog lights.
Pulling the switch to the second position will turn on both the front and rear fog lights. When the front fog lamps are turned on, a warning light comes on in the instrument panel.
The principle of operation of the front fog lights (US and Canadian markets only)
Power is supplied to the front fog lights from an auxiliary relay #5 located in the BJB in the engine bay.
The front fog lights function as described above, with some differences due to local laws that govern the use of headlights.
If the dipped beam headlights and the front fog lamps are on at the same time, when the headlights are switched to high beam, the front fog lamps are automatically switched off. When the high beam headlights are turned off, the fog lights turn on automatically.
NOTE: The front fog lamps will also turn off automatically when the high beam flash signal is given.
