Exhaust Pipe Cutter 100-051 (LRT-99-027)

Removal

1.

CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the right catalytic converter from the muffler assembly. Unscrew the 2 nuts.

3. Disconnect the left catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold. Unscrew the nut and loosen the clamp.



4. Remove the muffler assembly with assistance. Disconnect the 5 exhaust system fastening elements.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the left exhaust pipe. Using 100-051, cut the exhaust pipe at the location indicated by the recess on the exhaust pipe. pipe.

6. Remove the right exhaust pipe. Using 100-051, cut the exhaust pipe at the location indicated by the recess on the exhaust pipe.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Do not tighten the clamp at this stage.

Connect the right exhaust pipe to the muffler assembly.

• Clean the parts.
• Install the clamp.

2.

NOTE: Do not tighten the clamp at this stage.

Connect the left exhaust pipe to the muffler assembly.

• Clean the parts.
• Install the clamp.

3. Install the muffler assembly with assistance.

• Install the exhaust system fasteners.
• Tighten the catalytic converter nuts and clamp. (tightening torque 48 Nm).

4. Align both exhaust pipes and tighten the clamps. (tightening torque 55 Nm).
