General information
The major components of the 4.0L V6 engine fuel system include the fuel tank, fuel pump module, fuel filler neck assembly and two fuel level sensors.
The 4.0L V6 fuel system uses a fuel pump module mounted in the fuel tank to provide a constant pressure level to the fuel rails, which deliver fuel to the injectors. The fuel rails and injectors are discussed in the Fuel and Charging System section for the 4.0L V6. For more information, refer to Fuel Charging and Controls (303-04A Fuel Charging and Controls - 4.0L)
The emission control system is discussed in the Emission Control System section for the 4.0L V6 engine. For additional information, refer to Engine Emission Control (303-08A)
