Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air cleaning filter.
FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM OF GASOLINE ENGINE, ADJUSTMENTS, Air cleaning filter, engine K1.8.
3. Lay out a rag to collect any leaking oil.

4. Release the camshaft position sensor harness connector from the bracket and disconnect the connector.

5. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the oil seal cover to the cylinder head and move the cover to the side.

6. Remove the camshaft oil seal using the LRT-12-147 puller and the LRT-12-129 bolt.
7. Discard the camshaft oil seal.
Installation
1. Wash the oil seal seat and camshaft.

2. Check that the protective boot LRT-12-203 for installing oil seals is clean. Install the boot on the camshaft.
3. Install the oil seal using the LRT-12-148A tool.
NOTE: Rear oil seals are red in color.
CAUTION: Seals must be installed dry. Do not use the LRT-12-148 tool.
4. Wipe the camshaft oil seal cover and the mating surface.
5. Install the oil seal cover, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 6 Nm.
6. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector and secure it to the bracket.
7. Replace the air cleaning filter.

8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
9. Add oil to the engine.
