Depending on the vehicle configuration, three levels of external lighting systems are offered:
  • Halogen headlights
  • Bi-xenon High-Discharge (HID) headlights
  • Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) with bi-xenon
HID headlights
The light switch module is located on the instrument panel and is used by the driver to select the appropriate operating mode for the external lighting systems.

The taillight assemblies include the side lights, brake lights, reversing lights, turn signals, and rear fog lights. In vehicles intended for the North American market (NAS), the taillight assemblies also include a side marker light. The taillight assemblies must be removed to replace the bulb. There are two reflectors on the rear bumper.



All versions of the headlights are equipped with impact-resistant polycarbonate diffusers. Removable covers at the rear of the headlights are used to replace the bulbs. To replace the bulb, the headlight module must be removed.

Halogen headlights are equipped with large reflectors with a complex surface for optimal orientation of the light beams of the headlights (low beam only). The high beam reflector is located on the inside of the headlight. The inclination of the light beams in halogen headlights is adjusted manually, using a handwheel located in the light switch module; the handwheel controls the tilt motors located in the headlight modules.

The HID and AFS bi-functional headlights use a projector unit with a D1S xenon lamp, which operates in low and high beam modes. An additional reflector for the high beam of the halogen lamp is located on the inside of the headlight. The inclination of the light beams in the HID headlights is adjusted automatically. The front and rear height sensors are located on the left side of the front and rear axles. They measure the height of the car, and the headlight leveling control module, located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment near the "A" pillar behind the glove compartment, automatically adjusts the vertical adjustment of the headlights.

HID headlights come standard with power headlight washers.

The multi-function switch on the left side of the steering column controls the direction indicators, high beam and low beam. The direction indicators have a lane change function. Pressing the multi-function switch once turns the direction indicator on and flashes 3 times.



The exterior lighting system is controlled by the CJB. The CJB is the main control module for the vehicle's body systems and is located on the instrument panel behind the glove compartment.

The central switching unit provides protection for the circuits of all external lighting devices.
