Fog lights are available as an option or as standard on vehicles equipped with HID headlights and headlamp washer.
Two fog lamps are integrated into openings in the front bumper. Each headlight is attached to the bumper with three Torx screws covered with a removable trim. The fog lamp has a knob that is used to adjust the fog lamp to the required position.
The integral fog lamp socket contains a 55 W H11 halogen bulb. The cartridge is inserted into the hole in the rear wall of the fog lamp housing and rotated into the locking position.
Fog lights are controlled by CJB. When the ignition switch is in Ignition 6 power mode and the light control module rotary switch is in the parking lights or headlights position, the front fog lamp button can be pressed to activate the front fog lamps. When you turn on the front fog lights on the instrument panel, the corresponding control lamp turns on.
Functionality of fog lights (US and Canadian markets only)
Fog lights function as described above, with some differences due to local laws that govern the use of headlights.
If the dipped beam headlights and fog lamps are on at the same time, when the headlights are switched to high beam, the fog lamps will automatically turn off. When the high beam headlights are turned off, the fog lights turn on automatically.
NOTE: The fog lights will also turn off automatically when the high beam alarm is active.
