Audio systems are offered in two versions: Standard and Premium.
The Standard audio system uses an internal amplifier directly connected to the speakers and a single CD player. The Standard audio system is controlled only by the head unit and via the remote controls located on the steering wheel. The head unit is connected to the vehicle via a medium-speed CAN bus. This makes it possible to establish communication with the unit for diagnostics.
The Premium Audio System includes the following elements:
- Integrated audio module (IAM)
- Infotainment control module (ICM)
- Separate audio amplifier
- Rear seat audio control modules with headphone jacks
- Surround Sound Speaker System
The premium audio system is controlled through the ICM module located in the center of the instrument panel. Control signals from the ICM are transmitted to other elements of the audio system via the MOST bus. The ICM controls the schedule of the MOST loop and also acts as a gateway between the medium speed CAN bus and the MOST loop. The audio signals are sent over the MOST loop from the integrated audio module to the amplifier.
