NOTE: The removal procedure descriptions in this manual may contain installation steps.


Removal


1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to the procedure: Refrigerant Recovery, Evacuation, and Charging of the Air Conditioning (A/C) System (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, General Procedures).

3. Remove the mixing chamber panel. Refer to procedure: Mixing Chamber (412-01 Climate Control, Removal and Installation).

4. Tightening torque: 9 Nm

Plug all openings. Use new plugs. Lubricate new seals with clean compressor oil.

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
