ABS sensors (rear wheels) (Discovery 1)

Caution: If for any reason the sensor is removed, use a new sensor bushing when installing.

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Disconnect the connector of the corresponding sensor (above the rear axle).

3. Release the sensor wires from the clip.

4. Loosen the mudguard bolts.

5. Use a lever to remove the sensor.

6. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.

7. Remove the sensor bushing.

Installation

8. Install the new sensor bushing.

9. Lightly lubricate the sensor with silicone grease

10. Push the sensor into the sleeve until it contacts the sensor gear. The sensor should install itself into place after the vehicle starts moving.

11. Reinstall the removed parts.
