Checking and adjusting headlights

Checking the alignment angles of the steering wheels

Use only precision equipment, see chapter "Steering".

Checking tires

Check the tire type compliance (including spare) manufacturer's recommendations.

Check the integrity of the tread and sidewalls of the tires, and the tread depth. Check the wheel rims. Adjust the tire pressure.

Checking the brake linings and the condition of the brake caliper

If the thickness of the friction layer of the linings is less than 3 mm, replace them. Check that the linings are not oiled, see chapter "Brakes".

Caution: Install brake pads with a friction layer of the manufacturer's specified grade (composition). Always replace the pads on all wheels on the same axle, as this may cause the brake system to become unbalanced.

Install the wheels and tighten the lug nuts (not final), lower the car.

Tighten the wheel nuts:
  • Light alloy wheels - 130 Nm
  • Steel wheels - 130 Nm

Lubrication

Lubricate all hinges, door opening mechanisms, hood latches and oil filler caps.
