Removal and installation the accelerator pedal (Discovery 3)

Removal


1. Remove the decorative panel from the driver's side.
  • Release the clamp.
  • Remove two screws.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector.


2. Remove the accelerator pedal assembly.
  • Release the wiring harness.
  • Unscrew the three nuts.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.


Remove the accelerator pedal bracket. Unscrew the 3 nuts and bolts.

Remove the accelerator pedal bracket. Unscrew the 3 nuts and bolts.





Installation


1. Attach the accelerator pedal bracket. Tighten the nuts and bolts. (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2.
NOTE: Make sure the electrical connector is securely fastened.


Install the accelerator pedal assembly.
  • Connect the electrical connector.
  • Tighten the nuts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
  • Secure the wiring harness.
3. Install the decorative panel.
  • Connect the electrical connector.
  • Secure the clamp.
  • Tighten the screws.
4. Initialize the new accelerator pedal using T4.
