Removal

1.

CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the transfer case. For more information, refer to Transfer Case - 4.4L (41.20.25.99)

CAUTION: Avoid damage to the seal retainer and running surface.

Carefully remove and discard the seal. Use a special tool.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Install seals in a dry condition.
