System | |
- Before 2003 model year | Multi-point injection with supercharging, pressure control, without fuel return, with electromechanical injectors, controlled by Siemens ECM |
- From model year 2003 | Pressure controlled multi-point injection, without fuel return, with electromechanical injectors, controlled by Siemens ECM |
Fuel type | Gasoline EN228, octane rating 95 (RON), unleaded* |
fuel rail | |
- For all countries except USA and Canada | 2 nylon ramps connected by a steel transverse tube, pressure regulator located in the right ramp |
- For USA and Canada | Round stainless steel fuel rails with multilayer nylon connecting tube |
nozzles | |
- Before 2003 model year | 6 injectors with super boost, with bifurcated jets directed to the rear surfaces of the inlet valves |
- From model year 2003 | 6 injectors with quad jets directed to the rear surfaces of the intake valves |
Injector performance | 152 g/min at 350 kPa (3.5 bar, 50.7 psi2) |
Air injector performance | 1.0 kg/h |
Fuel pump | Immersed in fuel, electrically driven |
Fuel pressure | 350 kPa (3.5 bar, 54.7 psi2) |
Air filter | With paper filter element |
The octane number, which is claimed in various countries as 98 according to the RON research method, when evaluated using the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool, gives a result of 90 to 98. Leaded gasoline can be found in some markets. Alternative fuel 23% ethanol can be found in some markets.
