Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the fuel level sensor.
INSTRUMENTS, REPAIR WORKS, Gauge - fuel gauge.
3. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the top of the fuel pump module.
4. Release the tabs on the base of the module from the three slots on the top of the module.
5. Carefully lift the top of the module away from the base, being careful not to pinch the fuel hose.
6. Remove the spring from the fuel filter.
7. Carefully release the 3 fuel filter mounting clips.
8. Release the fuel filter from the fuel inlet and outlet ports.
9. Remove the fuel filter.
10. Dispose of o-rings.
Installation
1. Lubricate the NEW O-rings with silicone grease and install them on the fuel port windows.
2. Carefully place the filter on the fuel ports, push it all the way in until the filter clips snap into place.
CAUTION: Check that the contact spring "masses " correct position in the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Install the filter retainer spring in the recess and insert the other end into the upper seat.
CAUTION: Make sure the contact tip is "masses" was correctly positioned at the base of the filter.
4. Place the top of the module onto the bottom so that the tabs fit into the slots.
CAUTION: During installation, pay attention to the correct connection of electrical contacts. Deformation of the contact tip is not allowed "masses"on "negative"fuel pump outlet.
5. Install the fuel level sensor.
INSTRUMENTS, REPAIR WORKS, Gauge - fuel gauge.
6. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
