CAUTION: If there is a lot of fuel in the tank, pump it out through the filler neck, using a special device, to a level below the fuel intake.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Open the right rear door and tailgate.
3. Fold the right rear seat forward.
4. Unfasten the 2 buttons securing the front and rear mats.
5. Slide the luggage compartment carpet back to access the service hatch.

6. Remove the 6 screws securing the service hatch cover.
CAUTION: The procedure for relieving residual pressure must be performed whenever any system components need to be disconnected. Residual pressure exists in the system even after the ignition has been turned off.
7. Remove the service hatch cover.
CAUTION: Fuel leakage is inevitable during this operation. Take safety measures to prevent fire or explosion.
8. Disconnect the connector and fuel hose from the fuel pump housing.
CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.

9. Using the LRT-19-009 tool, remove the retaining ring from the electric fuel pump module.
10. Remove the electric fuel pump module with the sealing ring.
Installation
1. Clean the electric fuel pump module housing and the mating surfaces on the fuel tank.
2. Install a new gasket on the electric fuel pump body.
3. Install the electric fuel pump module into the fuel tank, put on the retaining ring and tighten its fastening to a torque of 35 Nm using the LRT-19-009 device.
4. Connect the connector and fuel hose to the fuel pump body.
5. Replace the service hatch cover.
6. Put the mat back in place and secure it with buttons.
7. Return the rear seat to its original position.
8. Close the rear door and tailgate.
9. Connect the negative battery terminal.
