Rear oxygen sensor (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Raise the front of the vehicle.

CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.

2. Loosen the fasteners securing the gearshift boot to the floor tunnel.

3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector from the mating connector on the wiring harness.

4. Release the rubber bushing and remove the oxygen sensor harness connector through its hole.



5. Remove the oxygen sensor.

Installation

1. Clean the oxygen sensor and its mounting location.

2. Screw in the oxygen sensor and tighten it to 55 Nm using the LRT-19-014 tool.

3. Route the oxygen sensor wiring harness through the rubber grommet and secure the grommet.

4. Connect the oxygen sensor connector.

5. Align the selector lever boot with the center console and secure it with the clips.

6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
