Cruise Control Actuator: Except Americas (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the actuator.

4. Unscrew the nut securing the actuator to the mounting bracket.

5. Disconnect the device rod from the throttle actuator sector and remove the actuator.

Installation

1. Connect the actuator rod to the throttle actuator sector.

2. Install the actuator on the bracket and secure it with a nut.

3. Connect the vacuum hose to the actuator.

4. Check the gap between the rod and the holder: when the lever is fully released, the rod should barely be held in the holder.

5. Loosen the holder by turning it counterclockwise, eliminate the gap, then turn the holder clockwise half a turn. Check that the rod is barely holding, then turn the holder another quarter turn until it locks.

6. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.
