Adjusting the latch striker (Freelander 2)

1. Make sure that adjacent panels are flush and have the same gap. If this condition is not met, follow the adjustment procedure below.



2. Remove the spare wheel cover.



3. Remove the cargo compartment threshold trim.



4. Loosen the two bolts on the tailgate lock counter part.



5. Close the tailgate and make sure that the adjacent panels are flush and have the same gap.

6. Open the tailgate and tighten the bolts of the lock counter part. Tightening torque: 25 Nm

7. Install the cargo compartment threshold trim.

8. Install the spare tire cover.
