Note: This adjustment is only required after replacing the resonance chamber. The adjustment screws are sealed and cannot be accessed by the vehicle user. Before starting the adjustment, check the ignition timing angle. To make adjustments, you will need two 90 mm long hoses, sealed at one end with a 13 mm diameter plug.
Examination
1. Drive 3-4 km to warm up the engine and gearbox, turn off the engine.
2. Turn off all electrical loads and air conditioning.
3. Remove the idle air control valve hose.

4. Install plugged hoses on the valve and resonance chamber (the accelerator cable and cruise control system drive are not shown in the figure).
5. Start the engine and compare the idle speed with the recommended one (see "Adjustment data. 3.9 V8i engine").
Adjustment
6. Drill the seal of the adjusting screw, screw a self-tapping screw into the hole and remove the seal.

7. Start the engine. Adjust the rotation speed by turning the screw (clockwise decrease speed).
8. Turn on the engine. Reinstall the idle air control valve hose.
9. Install a new seal on the screw.
