Shown is the 3.9 V8 engine.



1. Disconnect the two clips securing the filter to the air flow sensor.

2. 3.9 V8: Disconnect the ventilation hose.

4.0 V8: Disconnect the air temperature sensor connector.

3. Unscrew the 2 bolts of the rubber supports of the filter housing from under the wheel arch.

4. Slide the filter housing back and release it from the bracket.

5. Remove the filter housing. Remove any interfering parts if necessary.

6. Disconnect the 4 filter cover clips and remove the filter element.

7. 4.0 V8: Remove the air temperature sensor from the cover.

8. Remove the rubber supports.

9. Installation in reverse order. Tightening torque of support bolts: 8 Nm.
