Front stabilizer bushing (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

2. Remove the front wheels and tires. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

3. Remove the lower engine guard. Refer to procedure: Engine Guard (501-02 Front Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

• Disconnect both front stabilizer links from the stabilizer.
• Discard the nuts.

CAUTION: The ball head must not rotate.

5. Remove the stabilizer bushing.

WARNING: Use new nuts.

Installation

1. Install the stabilizer bar bushings. Tightening torque: 175 Nm

WARNING: Use new nuts.

2. Install the stabilizer bar. Tightening torque: 60 Nm

WARNING: Use new nuts.

CAUTION: The ball head must not rotate.

3. Install the lower engine guard. Refer to procedure: Engine Guard (501-02 Front Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

4. Install the wheel and tire assemblies. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
