Removal
CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened while the vehicle is supported by the suspension.
NOTE: Use only clean water as a bushing lubricant if necessary.
NOTE: The removal procedure descriptions in this manual may contain installation steps.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.
2. Remove the front wheels and tires. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
3. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to the procedure: Propeller Shaft - Vehicle does not include: Diesel Fuel Filter (205-01 Propeller Shaft, Removal and Installation).
4. Remove the catalytic converters. Refer to procedure: Catalytic Converter (309-00A Exhaust System - 3.2L NA - I6, Removal and Installation).

- Disconnect both stabilizer struts. Tightening torque: 60 Nm
- Discard the nuts.
CAUTION: Do not allow the ball joint to rotate.

- Tighten in the sequence shown. Tightening torque: 175 Nm
- Repeat the above procedure on the other side of the vehicle.
WARNING: Use new nuts.

7. Remove the stabilizer bushings.
NOTE: Do not continue disassembly if the component is removed only for access.

Installation
1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
