Engine Control Module (ECM) (Freelander 2)

NOTE: The removal procedure description may contain installation steps.

Removal

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Remove the collection chamber panel. Refer to procedure: Mixing Chamber (412-01 Climate Control, Removal and Installation).



4. Shown is ECM for gasoline engine, similar for diesel.



5. Tightening torque: 6 Nm

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Change the engine oil and filter. Refer to procedure: Draining and Filling Engine Oil (303-01B Engine - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, General Procedures).

3. If a new component has been fitted, configure using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
