Removal and installation exhaust system components (Tdi) (Discovery 1)

1. Raise the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect the stabilizer bar fasteners and rotate it down away from the axle.

3. Remove the suspension bracket behind the neutralizer.

4. Disconnect the exhaust manifold from the exhaust pipe.

5. Disconnect the muffler flange.

6. Place safety stands under the frame.

7. Lower the vehicle until the front wheels are completely off the ground.

8. Remove the front part of the exhaust system.

9. Unscrew the fasteners of the three hangers of the rear part of the exhaust system. Lower the rear pipe onto the axle and remove the rubber suspension loops.

10. Move the safety stands to the position where the rear wheels are suspended.

11. Lower the car onto the stands and check that they are securely installed.

12. Raise the rear wheels until the shock absorber pistons are almost fully extended.

13. Move the rear of the exhaust system diagonally with the front muffler to the right.

14. Turn the rear part of the exhaust system counterclockwise (view from the rear axle)

15. Remove the system from the vehicle.

16. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
