Crankshaft position sensor (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Place the car on a lift.

2. Disconnect the sensor intermediate wire connector.

3. Unscrew the screw securing the intermediate wires to the bracket.



4. Raise the car.

5. Unscrew the two sensor mounting bolts.

6. Remove the sensor.

Installation

7. Clean the sensor installation area.

8. Install the sensor, tighten the mounting bolts to 7 Nm.

9. Reinstall the removed parts.
