Ignition coils (Discovery 1)

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Disconnect the high-voltage wires from the coils. Note: Mark the wire connection locations.

3. Disconnect the two coil connectors.

4. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

5. Remove the screw securing the crankshaft position sensor to the coil bracket.

6. Unscrew the three bolts securing the coil bracket to the flywheel housing.

Note: The lower bolt is accessible from underneath the vehicle.

7. Remove the coils and bracket.



8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
