Accelerator cable (Discovery 1)

1. Loosen the two nuts on the cable adjuster assembly.

2. Release the cable from the throttle lever cam.



3. Remove the panel at the driver's feet.

4. Remove the cotter pin from the accelerator cable clevis pin.

5. Remove the pin and disconnect the cable from the pedal.



6. Loosen the nut securing the cable support bracket to the brake booster and release the cable.

7. Remove the rubber plug from the engine compartment bulkhead and pull out the cable.



8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Adjust the cable, see above.
