Fuel tank (new fuel vapor recovery system) (Discovery 1)

1-10. Remove the fuel pump and fuel level sensor, see above.

11. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.

12. Mark the position of the stabilizer bar mountings.

13. Rotate the stabilizer down to provide access to the tank.

14. Disconnect the ventilation tube from the fuel pressure sensor.

15. Disconnect the fuel vapor separator hose.

16. Remove the filler neck hose clamp bolt cap.

17. Loosen the filler neck hose clamp.

18. Remove the filler neck hose together with the internal tank ventilation hose.

19. Remove and discard the hose clamp.

19. Remove and discard the hose clamp.


20. Unscrew the fastenings of the right tank strap to the frame.

21. Unscrew the 4 nuts and bolt securing the tank bracket.

22. Remove the tank bracket.

23. Lift the right edge of the tank up and remove the tank from the frame.



Further operations are carried out as necessary.

24. Remove the hose from the fuel pressure sensor.

25. Disconnect the hose from the three tank clips.

26. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
