Front door window glass (Discovery 3)

Removal

NOTE: The door glass must be lowered approximately one third.

1. Carefully remove the outer glass seal.

• Remove 2 screws.
• Remove both ends of the seal from the door frame.

2. Remove the front door window glass.

• Using the special tool, release the 2 clamps and lift the glass off the window regulator.
• Tilt the glass forward and remove it from the door.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the 2 door glass clips.

• Remove 2 Torx head bolts.
• Remove 2 spacer bushings.
• Remove 2 flat washers.
• Remember the position in which the parts are installed.

Installation

1. Install 2 door glass clips.

• Install the spacer bushings.
• Install 2 flat washers.
• Tighten the Torx head screws (tightening torque 8 Nm).

2. Install the front door window glass. Insert the glass into both guides and engage the clips.

3. Install the outer glass seal. Tighten the screws.
