Removal
CAUTION: When removing exterior parts, always protect the paintwork and glass from damage.
CAUTION: When removing glass, always protect interior trim parts from damage.
CAUTION: Place the glass on a felt-lined stand. Do not place the glass on its edge as this may cause damage to the edge, which may subsequently develop into cracks.
NOTE: The following equipment is required:
- Cutting wire with handles
- Straight knife
- Glazier's knife
- Glass Replacement Kit
- Caulking gun
- Suction cups
- Felt-lined glass table or stand
2. Remove the rear window glass trim panel. Release the 3 clips.

3. Disconnect the diversity antenna wire connector from the rear window glass.

CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses.
CAUTION: When cutting the sealant, be careful not to damage the curtain air bag module.
With outside help, remove the rear window.
- Using a glazier's knife or cutting wire, carefully cut away the sealant.
- Install the suction cups.
- Remove the 4 spacer bushings, remembering the position in which they were installed.

Installation
1. Carefully remove the sealant from the body to create a smooth surface.
2. Apply etching primer to clean metal surface.
3. Apply primer over the etching primer.
4. Apply glass primer to the surface of the rear window sealant and allow it to dry.
5. Apply the activating compound to the old sealant of the rear window and let it harden.
6. Install the nozzle with the orifice onto the sealant cartridge, remove the cap, shake out the solids and install the cartridge onto the sealant gun.
Adjust the nozzle to obtain a strip of sealant with a right-angled triangle in cross-section, having a base of 8 mm and a height of 12 mm.
7. Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the rear quarter window as shown.

8. With assistance, install and align the rear window.
- Install the spacers at equal distances as shown in the figure.
- Press the window glass lightly against the sealant.
10. Connect the diversity antenna wire connector to the rear window glass. Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
11. Install the rear window glass trim panel. Engage the clips.
12. Install the rear door pillar upper trim panel. For more information, refer to 'D' Pillar Trim Panel (76.13.30)
