Passenger airbag module (Discovery 3)

Removal

CAUTION: Before performing any work on the SRS system, read the relevant information carefully.

CAUTION: Always disconnect both battery cables before working on the SRS system. Disconnect the ground cable first. Never connect the battery with the polarity reversed.

1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

2. Secure the SRS system.

3. Remove the top part of the control panel.

For more information, refer to Upper Instrument Panel Section (76.46.04)

4. Remove the passenger airbag module.

• Unscrew 4 nuts.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access purposes.

Remove the passenger airbag module bracket.

• Unscrew 2 nuts.

Installation

1. Install the passenger airbag module bracket.

• Tighten the nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Install the passenger airbag module.

• Tighten the nuts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

3. Install the top part of the control panel.
